Dennis brought up a question today that I have recently often pondered. He is curious as to the ratio of those on the left vs. those on the right who send hateful obscenity filled emails to public figures. He mentioned the fact that he receives these obscenity filled hateful emails from the left frequently. This is not to say that leftist radio talk show hosts (sic) don’t receive the same from right wingers but I am just as curious as Dennis is as to the ratio. You have whackos on the left and the right but it sure seems to me that comparatively, they left are weighing down the scale.

I have been curious as to the same considering the brief coverage in 2004 when nationally, more conservative bumper sticker displaying vehicles were vandalized than liberal bumper sticker displaying vehicles. You can see these types of trends everywhere we look. I have visited many liberal blogs and I see the same there. I see hate-filled individuals dropping the f-bomb like it was nothing but a word. I consistently see the trend of vulgar hateful language on liberal blogs yet they consistently take the moral high ground. Most conservative blogs won’t let you post even if you only use a “less offensive” word like he!!.

Further, when was the last time we saw a group of conservative youths violently protesting? While I am aware that conservative protests exist, the chances of a protest hosted by conservatives displaying the same civil disrespect and lack of moral decency you see in liberal protests are slim.

I have been rather absent from my blog as of late and for those who are interested, I am currently reading Spencer’s “The Truth About Mohammad” and From Blackstone: “The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History”.

I am learning allot and much of it I would have preferred not to learn. I am learning that Moslems (yes as a whole) have a saying among themselves, it’s kind of a little joke for them. They see Christians and Jews as the same, they refer to us as being “of the book” (the bible). The only difference between Jews and Christians is that Jews hold the Sabbath on Saturday and Christians hold the Sabbath on Sunday. Their saying is therefore “We will kill the Jews on Saturday and the Christians on Sunday”, when we are resting.

I am learning that Mohammad was probably diagnosable as insane. I am learning that Mohammad began by trying to convert Jews and Christians but because of their skepticism he began to hate them to a point where he preached their slaughter which continues through to today. I am learning that considering the fact that Judaism and Christianity existed long before the insanity of Islam ever came about, the blight known as Islam has no claim to Israel, or for that matter: Palestine or Iraq or Iran or Syria or most certainly not Constantinople Turkey where the armies of Mohammad killed and killed until the streets ran red. This is the city where Christianities greatest church was located. Islam took it from us so many years ago.

After I am finished learning all I need to know about Mohammad and his evil creation and the truth about American history, I think my next couple of books are going to be:

I recently posted the essay On Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs - Dave Grossman on my blog. In it, Dave does a great job outlining the differences between what he calls sheep, wolves and the sheepdogs. The sheep are typical civilians and they just want to live their lives in peace. The name sheep is not intended to be negative, it’s just term used to describe those who just want to graze and they fulfill their purpose in life. The wolves are those criminals in governmental positions of power or on the street level throughout the world. The sheepdogs are the police, the military and those of us who will confront and deal with the threats to ourselves, our loved ones and other “good” people. The sheep love the sheepdogs during a crisis but typically are mistrustful of them during times of peace. This is because the sheepdogs have teeth and are capable of violence and the dealing of death, just like the wolves.

The men in my family and the majority of my friends are sheepdogs. My grandfather was a paratrooper in WWII, he jumped into Normandy with the 101rst. My father was an Army Ranger who served in Vietnam. I served 10 years in the US Navy with several duty stations which involved my participation in the military police capacity, the ships self defense force and pier security in hostile environments. Most of my friends are law enforcement or ex-military or just the kind of guys who don’t get bullied although, they are not the bullies. We deal with the bullies and other scum that occasionally threaten us.

In the essay On Sheep, Wolves and Sheepdogs, the author insists that most sheep, especially during times of need can become sheepdogs. This essay is not meant to be a comprehensive guide on how to be a protector, or a sheepdog but more as an invitation and a look into the reasoning’s, the continuous requirement to be consciously aware of the moral lines not to be crossed, and the internal struggle to maintain the integral balance required to be a “good” sheepdog. I also want to give you some tactical techniques to consider and if they help you later then good, if it’s just interesting to you then good. Some aspects can be taught, most are gleaned through experience.

Sheep if you are offended and have arguments concerning this essay, that’s ok, your kind has always been around and always will be, as have my kind. When the crap hits the fan we will be there to fight the fight you are incapable of fighting. We will protect your women and children for you.

When it came to fighting my father laid down two basic laws.

1. Don’t ever throw the first punch.

2. If someone punches me, fight back with no hesitation. I would not be punished at home if I was defending myself or someone else from a bully.

Intent

As a youth I was lucky enough to have parents who not only did not object to but, encouraged my participation in the martial arts. Further, I was blessed with having an instructor who taught not only the tournament fighting styles but, practical street fighting as well and he did so effectively. One of the most important lessons he taught is that all of the training in the world will not serve you unless you have to intent to use it. You must be prepared to use explosive violence when dealing with a threat.

Reflexes and dexterity

I remember a game that was played by the boys in school. Someone would feign hitting you and if you flinched then you had to take a shot (punch) in the arm. To the kids a flinch was a sign of fear, of weakness. A fighter recognizes a flinch for what it is. It is a reflex that when used, not suppressed, can allow you to block an opponents strike immediately and, with proper training, to counterstrike. That little flinch can be turned into a powerful defensive then offensive tool.

When I was growing up I frequently watched the old Kung-Fu movies. In these movies the practitioners would frequently turn mundane everyday activities into some sort of dexterous movement. The Karate Kid tried to show this with the well intended yet ill-conveyed “wax on, wax off” teaching. Basically this is the same as any other physical attribute, practice makes perfect. When other people are not watching (so as to not look like a complete dork) try brushing your teeth with your left hand if you are right handed and vice a versa. Doing this frequently will inevitably improve the dexterity of your off hand. Shaving with your left hand is a little trickier but give it a shot. Turn some of your daily chores into a challenge of agility. These challenges don’t have to be over the top but make some of your daily chores more challenging to your agility. To be dexterous, you must practice dexterity.

I would like anyone who still calls Islam a “peaceful religion” to ask these two questions of themselves. You don’t have answer here because your answer just does not matter to me, it should matter to you. I already know my answers and where I stand.

Question One:

When this nation is again struck by Islamists and if it is severe enough to cause a temporary loss of governmental control throughout the nation:

Would you and your family seek shelter in a predominantly Islamic community or a predominantly Christian community?

Question Two:

When this nation is again struck by Islamists and if it is severe enough to cause a temporary loss of governmental control throughout the nation:

Do you honestly believe that Predominantly Islamic communities (in America) would inform American authorities of Islamic guerrillas operating out of their communities?

Based on our answers can we afford to consider any Muslims friends to our Christian nation? Only you really know.

I have written before that the liberal tendency to go overboard on its defense of civil liberties will eventually be like a dog chasing its own tail and that time has come.

I as a white Christian male am a minority in San Antonio Texas.

And you know what? I don’t care.

Unlike the left, I actually believe that all men are created equal and handouts like “The White Christian College Fund” would be insulting to me.

So what happens now? Do the liberal civil rights groups elevate my race to such a height that other races become minorities again? Will they then they elevate the next group and the next and the next in an endless circle of insanity?

I am so disgusted and fed up by the left and their insanity that I should probably not be writing or posting right now. I swear it is as if actually believe that just because an individual has a career in politics or journalism or Hollyweird that they are immune to insanity.

Actors may be among some of the most mentally unstable individuals in America. Without getting into too much speculation on this subject, just think about it. You know for a fact that you generally are what you do. A cop is a cop and a fireman is a fireman. A secretary will generally be efficient at typing and filing at work and at home. An actor makes believe for a living, they work in fantasy worlds and based on their pay and lifestyles, they live in fantasy worlds. How on earth could someone take anything they say concerning politics seriously? Are you crazy?

The left is crazy. There is no other explanation to their lack of reasoning. It’s like they are stuck in their idealistic youth and can’t grow up. I was a liberal as a youth but I grew up and realized that conservative wisdom is precisely that.

Because of liberals we can’t fight this war against Islam like it should be fought so we can move forward in advancing our civilization. Instead of trying a bunch of lame-brained socialist left wing ideas that never work we could keep doing what works and progress but instead we have to bang our heads against the wall of liberalism and their racism and Christian-phobia and their overall insanity.

Liberals you have got to go.

The fascist Islamists are attacking everyone.

The socialist secularists (the left) are attacking the predominantly capitalist Jews and Christians

The Jews and the Christians are currently on the defensive.

Why is the left not aggressive towards the Islamists?

This is because the leftist secularists are mistakenly viewing the Islamists as their friends because as the old saying goes “an enemy of my enemy is a friend of mine.” The leftist secularists of today view the Christians and Jews as the ultimate enemies of their ideologies (which we are) but something they don’t yet understand is that Islam poses an even greater threat to them, at least we tolerate them for now.

Any better ideas?

If this is the case, then the left is further exposed as one of the great enemies of this nation. Just like the Islamists.

Monday night on PBS (of all places) I watched a presentation on Jessie James. This presentation was not based on the fanciful Robin Hood image the left wing main stream media (yup, it was like that in the 1800’s too) painted of him but the reality of his murderous terrorism. The two political parties of today were frequently mentioned in this documentary.

My intention here is not to tell the story of Jessie James but to begin the exploration on how the Democrats managed to turn the tables and take the moral high ground of civil liberties when it was conservative Republicans who wanted slavery ended in the first place.

My dear lady happens to have two history books in her possession. One is from college and the other from high school. We have looked through them and I now fully understand the revisionism that is being taught to our children in relation to the two primary political parties and their places in American history.

I have found a new passion and that is to explore why the Ku Klux Klan, directly tied to the Democratic Party of the south has come to be viewed by today’s left as being associated with conservatism and the right. I also want to understand how the Democrats have managed to fool most of America considering their parties past. I understand from the program I watched that the media has always been filled with Democratic sympathizing liberals. The past does matter.

The reality is, contrary to what the leftist revisionists have lied to us all about and turned the table on, is that southern Democrats were the primary adversaries to the abolishment of slavery and it was the southern Democrats leading the KKK in their terrorism to affect the votes in southern states, to terrorize people into voting for Democrats.

Many declare that the civil war was not all about slavery when in reality it appears to me that for the most part, it was. A part of it concerned the disparity between the farms in the south and the industrialization in the north but I believe the root cause was slavery. For the most part in my base understanding, the north was conservative Republicans and the south were liberal Democrats.

Since I have been blogging and learning about politics I don’t hold much respect for either the Democrats or the Republicans. With that being said, I do consider the Republican Party to be more aligned with my system of morals and values.

What I see on the part of the Democratic Party are those who use lies and deception to blur the truth. I am not giving the Republicans a get out of jail free card but I really don’t like liberals so I will continue to expose them for the useless, revisionist, dangerous viruses they are.

I was brought up to believe that we are all equal and we are, it’s just that most of us are right and so many of you are so very wrong. Christians have in the past been intolerant and we now are tasting that intolerance. It is being turned back on us tenfold by the secular left and nobody is screaming foul. I know from first hand experience the evils humans are capable of inflicting upon one another and I’ll be damned, regardless of some of Christianities darker past, to be a victim of someone else’s intolerance.

Liberals, I have previously discussed how, in the compromising of one moral, the compromising of others will surely follow. In case you are unaware, in Europe, the push to kill “undesirable” babies, those born with sever handicaps is being instigated. This is a direct result of your push for abortion and assisted suicide. Once you declare that someone has the right to take life in the manner of abortion, it will cascade into what we are now seeing.

What are the preliminary years leading to a civil war for a country like? Are those years full of denial? Are they dotted with people on both sides getting angrier and angrier but unable to comprehend the dangerous road they are traveling? What happens when a nation is so divided on so many important issues? So many important issues which humans have shed blood over throughout history? Abortion, assisted suicide, socialism, the redefining of marriage and the blurring of the sexes themselves. Whether my child can read her bible at lunch in school or say a prayer before a football game or if we can effectively fight a war that will ultimately make my nation and my family and friends safe from The Violent Religion of Mohammad. Yes, I called it what it is and I took it to its roots, so don’t try to bullsh_t me anymore.

By letting the left fool us and bully us around, we are committing national suicide.

As a part of a team in a work environment, there are always those people who, for some unknown reason actually have a voice to sway the majority when attempting to come to a resolution for a dilemma. Often these individuals are educated and “fun” and easy to get along with so therefore, they are liked and their lame-brained ideas are listened to. These are the same a_sholes who, in the long run make everyone else’s jobs more difficult when their lame brained “progressive” ideas fail and everyone else must scramble to salvage anything on a given project. I particularly don’t like some other idiot interrupting my teams workflow especially when the ideas originally given by a conservative thinker, are those implemented as damage control after Mr. Progressives ideas fail. I can work around it and deal with minor inconveniences in a work environment but not when it comes to national security. The resolution to this problem is evident, you place the dreamer in another position where his ability to influence decision making processes is drastically reduced. You move them out of the way.

Let’s take this one step further. Say you have 100 barbarians who want to attack your village. You confront them on civil terms and appease them with gifts and they go away. The next month the same barbarians are back but they brought 50 if their friends with them and they threaten your village again. Now is the time you attack and decimate them on the spot. If they run, you follow them back to their village and you burn it to the ground. You eliminate any semblance of the threat so you may live in peace. If you don’t they will keep coming back as it happens time and time again and your village will never know peace.

The Mr. Progressives of the world would have us appease and appease while the enemy grows in number and power while still killing our people outside of our village until they have the power to destroy our buildings inside our village.

It’s nice to dream of a better way but when it comes down to making decisions that include my life and the lives of my loved ones, the progressive dreamers need to be forcefully shoved aside or removed so the real men can make the decisions.

Liberals of today are comparable to a hemorrhoid that becomes severely infected. At first it was a pain in the rear but by not dealing with it properly, it becomes life threatening.

Leftists/Progressives/Liberals are also comparable to the rebellious child who wants to try everything that is in direct opposition to conventional wisdom. Look at everything they stand for. Their views, when you get down to it, are the antithesis to what was once considered good, moral and just. A lot of what they have accomplished is very admirable and should be applauded but they don’t know when to stop. If you were to show all of the lessons of history to a liberal, that liberal will take each lesson and try to wrap some “progressive” idea around it to make it better which is actually quite admirable but this does not work in most real world situations. It’s like they want to change everything. We don’t have time to be dinking around with Mr. Progressive’s ideas. We should be nodding and smiling at these imbeciles shoving them aside while dismissing them with: “Yes, yes maybe later” while doing what we need to do to ensure our survival.

As a youth I, among millions of others, did not understand that wisdom comes with age. I had no clue. That’s why my parents made most of my decisions for me. It seems like today we have a bunch of youths with absolutely no consideration for time proven wisdom not only voting but running for and acquiring governmental positions of power and making decisions for the rest of us and this must be stopped now not later.

Liberals, you are ultimately dismissible imbeciles. It’s nice to see you act or sing or spout poetry but you are not leaders of men.

Come and argue all you like. I don’t want to debate anymore, I just want you stopped and through my voice and writing I will do all I can to expose you for the dismissible imbeciles you are. I will do all I can to encourage more individuals to shove you aside and say “Yes, yes maybe later”.

One Vietnam veteran, an old retired colonel, once said this to me:

"Most of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle, productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident." This is true. Remember, the murder rate is six per 100,000 per year, and the aggravated assault rate is four per 1,000 per year. What this means is that the vast majority of Americans are not inclined to hurt one another. Some estimates say that two million Americans are victims of violent crimes every year, a tragic, staggering number, perhaps an all-time record rate of violent crime. But there are almost 300 million Americans, which means that the odds of being a victim of violent crime is considerably less than one in a hundred on any given year. Furthermore, since many violent crimes are committed by repeat offenders, the actual number of violent citizens is considerably less than two million.

Thus there is a paradox, and we must grasp both ends of the situation: We may well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still remarkably rare. This is because most citizens are kind, decent people who are not capable of hurting each other, except by accident or under extreme provocation. They are sheep.

I mean nothing negative by calling them sheep. To me it is like the pretty, blue robin's egg. Inside it is soft and gooey but someday it will grow into something wonderful. But the egg cannot survive without its hard blue shell. Police officers, soldiers, and other warriors are like that shell, and someday the civilization they protect will grow into something wonderful.? For now, though, they need warriors to protect them from the predators.

"Then there are the wolves," the old war veteran said, "and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy." Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.

"Then there are sheepdogs," he went on, "and I'm a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf."

If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen, a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath, a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero's path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed

Let me expand on this old soldier's excellent model of the sheep, wolves, and sheepdogs. We know that the sheep live in denial, that is what makes them sheep. They do not want to believe that there is evil in the world. They can accept the fact that fires can happen, which is why they want fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire alarms and fire exits throughout their kids' schools.

But many of them are outraged at the idea of putting an armed police officer in their kid's school. Our children are thousands of times more likely to be killed or seriously injured by school violence than fire, but the sheep's only response to the possibility of violence is denial. The idea of someone coming to kill or harm their child is just too hard, and so they chose the path of denial.

The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, can not and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheep dog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed. The world cannot work any other way, at least not in a representative democracy or a republic such as ours.

Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep. He is a constant reminder that there are wolves in the land. They would prefer that he didn't tell them where to go, or give them traffic tickets, or stand at the ready in our airports in camouflage fatigues holding an M-16. The sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray paint himself white, and go, "Baa."

Until the wolf shows up. Then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog.

The students, the victims, at Columbine High School were big, tough high school students, and under ordinary circumstances they would not have had the time of day for a police officer. They were not bad kids; they just had nothing to say to a cop. When the school was under attack, however, and SWAT teams were clearing the rooms and hallways, the officers had to physically peel those clinging, sobbing kids off of them. This is how the little lambs feel about their sheepdog when the wolf is at the door.

Look at what happened after September 11, 2001 when the wolf pounded hard on the door. Remember how America, more than ever before, felt differently about their law enforcement officers and military personnel? Remember how many times you heard the word hero?

Understand that there is nothing morally superior about being a sheepdog; it is just what you choose to be. Also understand that a sheepdog is a funny critter: He is always sniffing around out on the perimeter, checking the breeze, barking at things that go bump in the night, and yearning for a righteous battle. That is, the young sheepdogs yearn for a righteous battle. The old sheepdogs are a little older and wiser, but they move to the sound of the guns when needed right along with the young ones.

Here is how the sheep and the sheepdog think differently. The sheep pretend the wolf will never come, but the sheepdog lives for that day. After the attacks on September 11, 2001, most of the sheep, that is, most citizens in America said, "Thank God I wasn't on one of those planes." The sheepdogs, the warriors, said, "Dear God, I wish I could have been on one of those planes. Maybe I could have made a difference." When you are truly transformed into a warrior and have truly invested yourself into warriorhood, you want to be there. You want to be able to make a difference.

There is nothing morally superior about the sheepdog, the warrior, but he does have one real advantage. Only one. And that is that he is able to survive and thrive in an environment that destroys 98 percent of the population. There was research conducted a few years ago with individuals convicted of violent crimes. These cons were in prison for serious, predatory crimes of violence: assaults, murders and killing law enforcement officers. The vast majority said that they specifically targeted victims by body language: slumped walk, passive behavior and lack of awareness. They chose their victims like big cats do in Africa, when they select one out of the herd that is least able to protect itself.

Some people may be destined to be sheep and others might be genetically primed to be wolves or sheepdogs. But I believe that most people can choose which one they want to be, and I'm proud to say that more and more Americans are choosing to become sheepdogs.

Seven months after the attack on September 11, 2001, Todd Beamer was honored in his hometown of Cranbury, New Jersey. Todd, as you recall, was the man on Flight 93 over Pennsylvania who called on his cell phone to alert an operator from United Airlines about the hijacking. When he learned of the other three passenger planes that had been used as weapons, Todd dropped his phone and uttered the words, "Let's roll," which authorities believe was a signal to the other passengers to confront the terrorist hijackers. In one hour, a transformation occurred among the passengers - athletes, business people and parents. -- from sheep to sheepdogs and together they fought the wolves, ultimately saving an unknown number of lives on the ground.

Here is the point I like to emphasize, especially to the thousands of police officers and soldiers I speak to each year. In nature the sheep, real sheep, are born as sheep. Sheepdogs are born that way, and so are wolves. They didn't have a choice. But you are not a critter. As a human being, you can be whatever you want to be. It is a conscious, moral decision.

If you want to be a sheep, then you can be a sheep and that is okay, but you must understand the price you pay. When the wolf comes, you and your loved ones are going to die if there is not a sheepdog there to protect you. If you want to be a wolf, you can be one, but the sheepdogs are going to hunt you down and you will never have rest, safety, trust or love. But if you want to be a sheepdog and walk the warrior's path, then you must make a conscious and moral decision every day to dedicate, equip and prepare yourself to thrive in that toxic, corrosive moment when the wolf comes knocking at the door.

For example, many officers carry their weapons in church.? They are well concealed in ankle holsters, shoulder holsters or inside-the-belt holsters tucked into the small of their backs.? Anytime you go to some form of religious service, there is a very good chance that a police officer in your congregation is carrying. You will never know if there is such an individual in your place of worship, until the wolf appears to massacre you and your loved ones.

I was training a group of police officers in Texas, and during the break, one officer asked his friend if he carried his weapon in church. The other cop replied, "I will never be caught without my gun in church." I asked why he felt so strongly about this, and he told me about a cop he knew who was at a church massacre in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1999. In that incident, a mentally deranged individual came into the church and opened fire, gunning down fourteen people. He said that officer believed he could have saved every life that day if he had been carrying his gun. His own son was shot, and all he could do was throw himself on the boy's body and wait to die. That cop looked me in the eye and said, "Do you have any idea how hard it would be to live with yourself after that?"

Some individuals would be horrified if they knew this police officer was carrying a weapon in church. They might call him paranoid and would probably scorn him. Yet these same individuals would be enraged and would call for "heads to roll" if they found out that the airbags in their cars were defective, or that the fire extinguisher and fire sprinklers in their kids' school did not work. They can accept the fact that fires and traffic accidents can happen and that there must be safeguards against them.

Their only response to the wolf, though, is denial, and all too often their response to the sheepdog is scorn and disdain. But the sheepdog quietly asks himself, "Do you have and idea how hard it would be to live with yourself if your loved ones attacked and killed, and you had to stand there helplessly because you were unprepared for that day?"

It is denial that turns people into sheep. Sheep are psychologically destroyed by combat because their only defense is denial, which is counterproductive and destructive, resulting in fear, helplessness and horror when the wolf shows up.

Denial kills you twice. It kills you once, at your moment of truth when you are not physically prepared: you didn't bring your gun, you didn't train. Your only defense was wishful thinking. Hope is not a strategy. Denial kills you a second time because even if you do physically survive, you are psychologically shattered by your fear helplessness and horror at your moment of truth.

Gavin de Becker puts it like this in Fear Less, his superb post-9/11 book, which should be required reading for anyone trying to come to terms with our current world situation: "...denial can be seductive, but it has an insidious side effect. For all the peace of mind deniers think they get by saying it isn't so, the fall they take when faced with new violence is all the more unsettling."

Denial is a save-now-pay-later scheme, a contract written entirely in small print, for in the long run, the denying person knows the truth on some level.

And so the warrior must strive to confront denial in all aspects of his life, and prepare himself for the day when evil comes. If you are warrior who is legally authorized to carry a weapon and you step outside without that weapon, then you become a sheep, pretending that the bad man will not come today. No one can be "on" 24/7, for a lifetime. Everyone needs down time. But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself...

"Baa."

This business of being a sheep or a sheep dog is not a yes-no dichotomy. It is not an all-or-nothing, either-or choice. It is a matter of degrees, a continuum. On one end is an abject, head-in-the-sand-sheep and on the other end is the ultimate warrior. Few people exist completely on one end or the other. Most of us live somewhere in between. Since 9-11 almost everyone in America took a step up that continuum, away from denial. The sheep took a few steps toward accepting and appreciating their warriors, and the warriors started taking their job more seriously. The degree to which you move up that continuum, away from sheephood and denial, is the degree to which you and your loved ones will survive, physically and psychologically at your moment of truth.

The left likes to tote around their suitcase full of conscientious objectors and declare “See, they don’t believe in war either!” What they fail to understand is that this merely proves that our armed forces aren’t immune to the psychological sickness of liberalism.

In perspective, 1 person out of 100 does not constitute a belief which can be applied to the whole.

We like to say…

We join the military with the knowledge of what we are getting into. I can tell you that is not entirely true. The first time you find yourself in a truly hot situation and a little voice screams “You might die here” you hopefully react in accordance with your training with ample time to save your life. Immediately after, when your head stops spinning, you unclench your jaw and you finally remember to start breathing again you know that you had absolutely no flippin clue as to what you were getting into but you keep going and you keep doing your job drawing from that same fount of pride and courage that you started with. Both that and you want to make it back home.

You have the John Kerry’s who come back to America and paint the picture of baby killers which causes all of our fighting men and women to be hated and spat upon, then you have those with the intestinal fortitude to do what they SIGNED a CONTRACT to do which is to obey the orders of our Commander in Chief and fight for this nation. One is proud and strong and the other are cowards which evidently produces the hatred we see on the left.

I am too young to remember how our service men and women were treated when they came back home from Vietnam but, I do know the sadness in my father because of it. I heard last night that if you hate the war you eventually hate the warriors and considering the recent trend on the left of “Freudian slips”, John Kerry’s comments being the most recent and prominent, this seems to me to be true as history has proven.

There is a misconception that permeates the left in relation to military service. They believe that we only send the uneducated people of our society to war. This is, in no uncertain terms, a direct attack on the intelligence of our men and women as individuals serving proudly in the armed forces by choice.

I personally don’t like being called stupid and I don’t think the intelligent men and women serving appreciate it either.

John Kerry yesterday:

Educate yourself “…you can do well, if you don’t you get stuck in Iraq.”

He says this as if our sailors, soldiers, airmen and marines in the military are pacifist, communist cowardice tools just like he is.

When I joined the US Navy in August of 1990 my father was the president/chairman of the board of a bank, my mother was vice president/compliance officer. We were not poor and I am not uneducated. I proudly volunteered.

I was stationed onboard the USS Ashland LSD-48. My ship’s primary mission is amphibious landings. This means that after 4 years onboard, after two - six month deployments and numerous amphibious assault exercises it was inevitable that I would get to know marines as well as sailors and they my friends were not stupid. The overwhelming majority were proud of their service to this nation’s people as the front line against foreign aggressors to keep them off of our American soil.

If you think that being onboard a ship shields you from danger ask the 17 people who died Thursday, October 12, 2000 onboard the USS Cole. Why don’t you Google (“USS Ashland” Somalia)? Not all of the violence was focused in Mogadishu.

As an instructor of Electronic Warfare in Pensacola Fl at the Naval Technical Training Center, Corry Station I saw, on a daily basis highly intelligent individuals from all branches of service being taught and comprehending everything from the complex intricacies of Electronic Warfare to other intelligence fields such as cryptology.

If you are referring strictly to combat soldiers lack of education, I can absolutely guarantee you that the individuals who become squad leaders have more aptitude to make intelligent split second decisions than any of these Democratic political mouthpieces so take your hatred of our country and our military to one of the communist countries you so love, your hateful rhetoric will be more accepted there.

For many on the left, the liberal way of life is pretty simple; tolerate everything so that you yourself will never be judged.

The reluctance to judge anyone (other than Christian conservatives of course) is a get out of jail free card for liberals.

“Hey, I am not going to say anything about what you are doing that is immoral because that would make me a hypocrite so party on!”

Who am I to judge? They ask.

Who are we to judge?

We are a majority Christian society in the broad picture and in many instances more narrowly, a parent concerned for the morals instilled in our children.

The left, ignorant to the depth of its own moral corruption, relies on its ability to persuade people to believe that because we are not supposed to pass judgment that we must tolerate the behavior that this nation once, as a majority, saw as immoral.

Nobody on the face of this Earth is perfect, we all stumble and fall, but that does not excuse us from the responsibility of calling friends and family out when they are straying from the morals and values that distinguish them as our friends as opposed to mere acquaintances. I view this not as a choice but as a responsibility born of love.

Friends are rare while acquaintances abound because of the simple truth that there are those people who we trust and those we don’t. This trust is derived from shared morals and values.

Show me who your friends are and I will show you who you are.

So now what we see are people of immorality voting for the party which enables their immorality while the moral vote for the party which seems to be aligned with their morals. We as conservatives don’t vote Republican because it will allow us rich folk to stay rich (I make about $36,000/year, not rich) or because we are he!! bent on destroying the Earth, we vote Republican in hopes that our party will uphold our shared morals and values.

Ok fine we have free choice, fine and dandy, but what the other side is either ignorant to or will not acknowledge are the reasons they are being enabled and the consequences of their immoral behavior to this nation.

Besides being a guide for Christians the Bible contains many historical facts. The facts I wish to draw upon have nothing to do with supernatural healings or creationism or the fact that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. What I want to bring to light is the historical proof that, regardless as to whether it is punishment from God or not, when immorality takes hold of a nation that nation falls. God warns us that if a nation turns its back on him it will fall. In a secular liberal’s mind this is hogwash, maybe the nations fell for some other reason and that is precisely my point, the other reasons.

To play the devils advocate:

The mortal authors of the Bible due to their inability to understand the adversities of their time through scientific or sociological analysis viewed such adversities as punishment from God. They explained the fall of many nations through this view. If it was not the hand of God that brought these nations down due to their unbridled immorality then what was it?

The Unbridled Immorality Itself

People often call marijuana the “gateway drug.” The reason this is said is not because of chemical dependency or anything that the marijuana does to you physiologically. It is a gateway drug because when one compromises a set moral in their belief structure, it becomes easier to compromise more.

We all know that in a mob environment, people who are normally mild mannered can shift persona in a moments notice. This same type of “mob” oneness or the feeling of security in numbers is propagating the immorality of a few to millions.

Have you ever finally stopped doing something that you knew was wrong? Sometimes only by taking a step back, getting a deep breath of fresh air and observing your behavior do you realize that it is wrong. Sometimes you are not even aware that what you are doing is wrong and you are enabling others to do the same and a cycle of enabling ensues. The wonderful feeling that follows the halt of immoral behavior is the darkness of that evil being removed from your conscience and soul.

Now, when one becomes so entrenched in the cesspool of immorality, it becomes impossible to voice the fact that someone else is doing something wrong and this is rightfully so. The responsibility of those who have discipline and integrity is to take the wheel from those who are steering the car over the edge of a cliff whether or not it is considered politically correct or some other such nonsense.

As the compromise of morals makes it easier for an individual to compromise more, it is the same for a society as a whole.

Many on the “American edge” of liberalism refer to Europe as the cutting edge of progressive ideology and you know what? They are right. They want America to be more liberal like Europe. Europe my friends, due to their leftist moral corruption and the resulting inability to call evil what it is and fight it, is starting to burn.

Islam is an entirely different animal than liberalism but the fact is that; due to very nature of liberalism and its resulting immorality, the ability to recognize and fight evil is striped from a nation because evil cannot or will not distinguish itself from one brand or another. The evil of liberalism will not call anything else evil because they are both ultimately products of the same source.

Hence they will rather accept submission than fight.

“If faith collapses, civilization goes with it,” says Bethell. That is the real cause of the closing of civilization in Europe. Islamization is simply the consequence. The very word Islam means “submission” and the secularists have submitted already. Many Europeans have already become Muslims, though they do not realize it or do not want to admit it.
